The new look competition has been a huge success!

The students said:

"I loved the origami round because it was fun!"

"My favourite was the pairs round - teamwork, quick survival and competitive"

The Maths Feast has finished for 2015 but the fun doesn't have to stop...

The Year 10 Maths Feast is an enjoyable and challenging team competition testing mathematical, team-working and communication skills. Each year the format of the competition will change slightly so that the rounds remain interesting and exciting. Teams will be expected to work together to solve new problems - so there may be surprises!

The Maths Feast is organised on a regional basis with over 70 events taking place across England in February and March 2015. Due to the high demand, we know some schools were not able to enter as many teams as they would like, or get their first choice of venue – you may want to consider offering to host an event next year by contacting [email protected] as this would guarantee you a team place.

We have designed the Maths Feast to support students in developing their problem solving skills. The 2015 Maths Feast Materials and practice materials are available to schools to use if they wish.

The most important skills we want to students to demonstrate in the Feast are those of team work, communication, reacting positively to a new situation and applying previous knowledge to solve problems – Good Luck and Bon Appetite!

We will be opening entries for the 2016 Maths Feast in the Autumn term.
