The FMSP has three strands
- Student Support - helping to provide access to Further Mathematics tuition for all students;
- Teachers' Professional Development - enabling more teachers to teach Further Mathematics and level 3 mathematics within diplomas;
- Communications and Marketing - promoting mathematics and raising awareness of the benefits of studying mathematics beyond GCSE.

Supporting Further Maths tuition
The FMSP helps schools and colleges to provide Further Maths tuition themselves and, when this is not possible, arranges for expert FMSP tutors to teach their students.

The FMSP provides both face-to-face and live online CPD courses for pre-university level maths teachers, and free resources and advice to help teachers teach Further Maths.
